75 Ohm MCX Connectors

Similar in design to the SMB coaxial connector, the 75 ohm MCX connector uses a snap-on interface. The inner contact and dielectric insulator structures are identical to the SMB - yet the 75 ohm MCX connector is 30% smaller than the mini-75 ohm SMB connector and much smaller than the traditional 75 ohm SMB connector. The self-centering interface spring is shielded by the mating connector hood, which allows the MCX to operate as reliably as the SMB, with a tremendous reduction in size and weight.

The Johnson Components 75 ohm MCX connector operates up to 6 GHz with "true 75 ohm" impedance design and is well suited for traditional and digital RF applications where size and weight reduction are primary concerns. Applications for the 75 ohm MCX include automotive, cellular telephone and data telemetry - especially video and telephony distribution nodes.
