FCI Develops Quickie� Eye-Of-Needle-Compliant Header

ETTERS, PA. (October 4, 2007) � FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect systems, expands its BASICS+ portfolio with an eye-of-needle version of the Quickie� header. Available with latches and in low-profile versions, these Quickie headers offer better application performance on lead-free PCB boards due to the eye-of-needle pin that facilitates insertion into PCB boards. The combination of solder-free processing and reliability will enable customers to optimize their applications.

�Many of our customers who had come to rely on the Quickie headers for applications such as test equipment and peripherals were requesting the eye-of-needle version for faster and more reliable mounting on boards in applications requiring attachment to PCBs that are missing the natural lubrication effect of lead- and solder-free processes,� said Alejandro Aguirre, Product Manager, FCI.
