Custom-Colored Modular Jacks from Molex Prevent Mismating and Offer Flexibility

LISLE, Ill. – August 27, 2004 – The Modular Jacks from Molex Incorporated (NASDAQ: MOLX and MOLXA) are now available in five new colors, as well as the standard black option. By choosing from orange, green, blue, gray and yellow, each Modular Jack can be customized to match the color of a cable assembly to prevent mismating and increase design flexibility.

Available in three configurations – a right angle version with an ultra-low profile, a SMT version and an inverted version with a top latch jack – the custom-colored Modular Jacks meet several different design requirements. They are easily identifiable and well-suited for a variety of network system, consumer and office/home equipment applications. Plus, they can be used as a designated test port in systems for trouble-shooting.
