Molex Incorporated partners with Samtec, Inc. to supply Telecom and related markets with AMC.0 B+ and MicroTCA Connectors

LISLE, Ill. – January 09, 2008 – Growing demand for AdvancedTCA® (ATCA) related products and developments behind the MicroTCA technology continue to drive the need for reliable, multiple source, high-speed interconnect solutions for telecom and datacom related markets. Molex Incorporated and Samtec, Inc. announced today a joint effort to offer AdvancedMC™ (AMC.0 B+) and MicroTCA connectors, identical in form fit and function, to ensure an increased supply and availability of these connectors to a growing market.

ATCA and MicroTCA offer standard, reliable platforms for many applications, including wireless infrastructure equipment, wireline networking equipment and fiber optic networking equipment. These connectors are designed to support next generation 10/12.5 Gbps native channels without the cost penalty of having to upgrade later.
