SilentPLUG

Neutrik introduces the silentPLUG – NP2X-AU-SILENT. It automatically mutes (shorts) an instrument (guitar) cable to avoid pops and squeals when changing the instrument (guitar) under load.

The silentPLUG features a rugged metal shell with rubber overlay for the best shock protection and reliability. The ¼'' plug offers the Neutrik inimitable chuck-type strain relief for excellent cable retention.

The integrated silent switch is based on REED technology and guarantees a lifetime beyond 10,000 mating cycles. The unique plug design resists dust and dirt so that the reed cannot corrode or pollute. The gold plated switching contacts of the lifetime plug are hermetically sealed.

The distinctive red plug with "silent" on its shell is the perfect solution for the noise-free changing of instruments "in action."
