2mm HM Slim Backplane Connector

CC&CE recently announced a newly designed 2mm HM 4 row and 4+1 row Slim Backplane Connector specifically designed to extend the 2mm Hard Metric standard connector product line. Applications for this product include medical test equipment (primarily blood analyzers) and instrumentation.

Slim HM Connectors enable the usage of Hard Metric practice in Telecommunications and Computer systems, as well as instrumentation applications with slot spacing as narrow as 15 mm, giving excellent electrical performance and mechanical characteristics at an economical price.

TE Connectivity' Slim HM Connectors comply with IEC 917 and IEC 61076-4-101 specifications and fit well with Universal Power Modules (UPM) on the same card/slot in narrow spacing (as narrow as 15 mm). These Slim HM Connectors support applications at data rates up to 2.5 Gb/s (differential signaling) with edge rates of 100 P/sec and 1:1 signal to ground ratio (10 pair/ 20mm), as well as up to 1.5 Gb/s (differential signaling) under the same conditions but with 3:1 ground ratio (15 pair / 20mm).
