TE Connectivity’s newest heat-shrinkable wrap-around marker is designed for permanent cable identification. The thin and flexible wrap-around marker has a hot melt adhesive on the reverse side that when heat activated creates a permanent bond at the point where the material overlaps. As the wrap-around marker is made of a radiation cross-linked polyolefin, the material will shrink upon heat activation to conform to the contours of any substrate.

The wrap-around marker is ideal for post termination applications and retrofit saving the customer from the labor intensive processes of disconnecting the cable, conduit, or hose assembly prior to install. The wrap-around marker can be used in harsh outdoor and industrial environments, where resistance to mechanical abrasion and fluid exposure is a must. The marker is supplied on 100 feet (30.5 m) rolls and can be printed and cut to desired lengths.

The heat-shrinkable wrap-around marker allows permanent marking on small and large diameter cables, hoses, pipes or harnesses, and can truly be applied at any stage of the build (i.e. pre or post termination).
