TE Connectivity AS85049 Adapters with Black Zinc Nickel Plating

TE Connectivity (TE) announces AS85049 adapters which are now approved for black zinc nickel plating, a replacement for cadmium plating that has been historically used on military circulars. TE offers straight, 45 and 90 degree adapters to meet the black zinc nickel plated M85049/82 through /90. AS85049 is a military specification for connector accessories designed to work with military connectors like those built to MIL-DTL-38999. TE's band strap termination is made at the back of a connector to provide shielding, screening and grounding to a cable harness to help provide EMI and RFI protection and most importantly, enable ease of installation and repair.
